The artwork was developed through original photography captured in downtown Vancouver, focusing on architectural surfaces, artificial lighting, urban signage, reflections, and the fragmented visual language hidden within everyday city spaces. The raw photograph was reconstructed and refined in Adobe Photoshop using cinematic color grading, compositing, contrast balancing, atmospheric enhancement, shadow detailing, and texture treatment to create a darker editorial atmosphere with stronger visual depth.
Typography systems, graphic overlays, and compositional motifs were designed in Adobe Illustrator to establish hierarchy, rhythm, and publication-inspired visual structure across the poster. Particular attention was placed on balancing environmental storytelling with typography placement, negative space, and lighting composition to create a more immersive visual narrative.
This project reflects my interest in combining photography, editorial design, urban storytelling, and digital art direction into visually atmospheric design experiences.
