The project began through original photography captured in downtown Vancouver, focusing on architectural perspective, spatial composition, lighting balance, and the rhythm of everyday city life. The image was reconstructed and transformed in Adobe Photoshop through digital painting techniques, cinematic color grading, atmosphere enhancement, compositing, texture refinement, and anime-inspired visual treatment to create a softer stylized interpretation of the urban environment.
Typography systems, graphic motifs, and editorial layout elements were designed in Adobe Illustrator to strengthen visual hierarchy, composition flow, and publication-inspired identity across the poster. Particular attention was placed on balancing realism with stylization while preserving architectural structure, environmental storytelling, and a sense of warmth and everyday calm often present in animated city narratives.
This project reflects my interest in combining photography, graphic communication, environmental storytelling, and stylized digital art direction into immersive visual experiences.
